Non-Profit Organization Helps Girls To Fight Back Against Predators And Sexual Assault...

I definitely want you to know about a powerful FREE resource that is helping girls and young women between the ages of 11-19 fight back against predators and sexual assault in a very big way!

The non-profit program called, "Just Yell Fire" is based out of my home town of Portland, OR and it's a very powerful program that has helped over 1 million young ladies around the world learn and practice exactly what they can do to increase their personal security, safety and emergency preparedness.

The founder and spokeperson for the organization is 17-year old Dallas Jessup and she was actually scheduled to be a recent live guest of the Code Red! radio show but, due to a scheduling conflict, she was unable to appear but I promise you, we will be inviting her on the show again because what her team is doing is absolutely incredible and it could just save your life or the life of a loved one!

Teenage girls face a 1 in 4 risk of sexual assault, and there are more than 114,000 attempted abductions a year in the United States alone. Since 2006, Just Yell Fire's message has been that girls and young women have the right to live their lives without the fear of assault or abduction. Just Yell Fire's mission is to put predators out of business around the globe!

The organization is supported by private donations and they developed a FREE, downloadable movie entitled, "Just Yell Fire" which has been downloaded over 950,000 times in 44 countries around the world.  The film raises awareness to the issues of dealing with predators and sexual assaults and exactly what precautions girls can immediately implement to help increase their personal security and safety.

Be sure to visit: www.JustYellFire.com for more information.  Dallas who is a "CNN 2007 Hero", and also the author of a brand new book entitled, "Young Revolutionaries Who Rock, An Insider's Guide To Saving The World One Revolution at a Time" has been featured on numerous radio and television news broadcasts and shows recently posted some very important Personal Safety Advice Tips that you can obtain directly from her website or this link: www.tinyurl.com/JYFSafetyTips.

Time To Replace Your Smoke Detector Batteries & Review Your Fire Safety Plan!

Here's a quick life safety tip that could just save your life or the life of a loved one, a close friend or even a complete stranger.

Sadly, statistics reveal that every two and half hours someone is killed in a residential fire in America.

During an average year, more than 20,000 people suffer injuries related to a home fire. Most fires are PREVENTABLE!

As you know, for many areas across the nation, this coming Sunday, March 14, 2010 is the day that we all lose one hour as we move our clocks forward 60-minutes for Daylight Savings Time.

This is a great time to take just a few minutes to inspect all of your home’s smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and REPLACE each unit’s batteries with brand new, FRESH batteries.

We’re all very busy with everything going on in our lives but, I encourage you to take just a few minutes TODAY to make sure all your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are in good working order. It’s also a great time to make sure your fire extinguishers and fire safety ladders are in good working order as well.

Don't forget to talk with your loved ones about the importance of fire prevention and even take a few minutes to review and practice your home and work fire escape plan.  The life you save could be your own!

For more details on smoke detectors and fire safety, be sure to visit the U.S. Fire Administration website link at: http://www.usfa.dhs.gov/citizens/focus/smoke_alarms.shtm.

Please pass along this important message to others you know and care about.
