10-Year Anniversary Of Deadly Rampage At Columbine High School--What Can Be Done To Help Keep Our Kids Safer?

Sadly, today, April 20, 2009 marks the 10-year anniversary of the deadly shooting rampage at Columbine High School in the suburbs of Denver, CO.

On April 20, 1999, two high school seniors at the school went on a planned violent and deadly shooting rampage that claimed the lives of 12 students, 1 teacher and injured 23 other people before both suspects committed suicide.

The daily threat of school violence is real! Fortunately there are steps that students, parents, teachers and school administrators can take to help reduce the incidents of bullying or chances of increased physical violence BEFORE disaster strikes.

My buddy, Derek Randel, of Randel Consulting, Inc. based in Wilmette, IL has been a featured guest on my Code Red! radio show as well as "View From The Bay" Show, CNN's Nancy Grace Show and Fox News Channel's O'Reilly Factor Show.

He is a noted expert on dealing with the issues of bullying and school violence. He conducts powerful training workshops for parents, teachers and school staff members on effective strategies to reduce and counter violence before it has a chance to get out of hand.

He also offers individual private coaching sessions for children and parents on a variety of issues including bullying, cyber-bullying, etc. He has written numerous informative articles on safety and security issues that are available directly from his website. He even has a FREE monthly newsletter for parents.
